Silicone Radiator hoses have a higher burst pressure rating than standard hoses - this allows you to fit a high pressure radiator cap which will run the cooling system at a higher pressure. Higher pressures in the cooling system prevent bubbles forming on the cylinder walls when the engine is being worked hard, allowing more efficient transfer of heat to the radiator, a cooler running engine and better performance and engine life
