It is a common myth, that the stiffest motorcycle calipers are one piece monobloc construction - although it used to be the case that many oem, two piece calipers suffered badly from flex, in these cases that was caused, simply from bad engineering design - two piece calipers, designed correctly, can, and often are, stiffer than their monobloc counterparts - however this added stiffness comes at a slight weight disadvantage - however the GP4-RX calipers are still the lightest in their class, with much improved braking force over the lower priced R&T calipers offered by Brembo
